Actually, the first principle you have listed from the Art of War "Challenge Yourself" is also experienced by me on personal basis. I am trying to do the same. I have changed many of my habits. Its very true that real enemy lies inside of us. When you fight in a competetion, you are not fighting with the opponent but with your limitations as a Martial-Artist. Even I have written a whole blog <a href="http://uttre.wordpress.com/2009/03/25/the-anti-nature-lifestyle/" rel="nofollow"> post </a> on my way of Martial-Art after I I read your post :) .
